Out of Age Application

Out of Age Application

Any player wishing to play up an age group rather than in their natural age group, will be required to complete a BJFC Out of Age Application.

The player should register in their natural age group first and then submit the form as soon as possible after that.

A player’s age is determined by what they will turn in 2017

  • U6 – for players born in 2011
  • U7 – for players born in 2010
  • U8 – for players born in 2009
  • U9 – for players born in 2008
  • U10 – for players born in 2007
  • U11 – for players born in 2006
  • U12 – for players born in 2005
  • U13 – for players born in 2004
  • U14 – for players born in 2003
  • U15 – for players born in 2002
  • U16 – for players born in 2001
  • U17 – for players born in 2000
  • U18 – for players born in 1999

For example – if your child was born in 2005 and is turning 12 in 2017, their natural age group is U12’s. If they wish to play in U13’s in 2017, they WILL be required to complete an out of age application EVEN IF THEY HAVE PLAYED UP AN AGE GROUP IN PREVIOUS SEASONS.

Acceptance of the Out of Age Applications is not automatically granted. Approval will be subject to the number of players within the requested age group.

This policy is enforced to ensure that players requesting to play up do not take the place of a player who naturally belongs in that age group.

The Great Illawarra Walk is being held on 17th and 18th March. All funds raised are going towards the stem cell research project for Chloe to search for a potential treatment for Vanishing White Matter Disease that is beginning in IHMRI (Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute) at Wollongong University.

What a great way to see the Illawarra, get some exercise and support stem cell research.
