In 2023 Balgownie Juniors had over 600 boys and girls playing in 67 different teams in the Football South Coast Competition. With players in age groups ranging from U6’s to U17’s we are the largest junior club in the Football South Coast Northern League and have produced many fine players, some going onto represent Australia.

# A circa $825,000 inc GST Judy Masters Ground 3 and Ground 4 Major Drainage and Irrigation upgrade project kicked off this morning which will see Judy Masters Oval busy with tractors and major earthwork equipment for the next couple of weeks.-> A massive shoutout and thanks to the City of Wollongong for awarding the "Sports Ground Drainage and Irrigation" tender (T1000109) to Green Horticultural Group for $1,547,167.60 inc GST as per Council Resolution on 9th October 2023, with the project specification including major works at three locations including: Judy Masters Oval (Balgownie) Lakelands Oval (Dapto) and Cawley Park Oval (Russell Vale). -> A massive shoutout and thanks to the NSW Government Football Legacy Fund Round 1 which contributed $63,845.97 to Wollongong City Council and ultimately this project.-> Based on a square meterage analysis of the 3 ovals Tender Specification, Judy Masters Oval work equates to over 46% of the drainage square meters and also will see very large water tanks installed too. -> Exciting times for all users of Judy Masters and please know we are actively working with Wollongong City Council, the NSW Government, the Australian Government, Football South Coast and Football NSW trying to find a funding source at a similar level so that Wollongong City Council can complete an Amenity Block / Female Changerooms / Male Changerooms and Toilet block upgrade project too. 🥅⚽🥅 ...
